Nice desktop model! It captures the elliptical shape of the wings perfectly! Great job!
I would just place the model on a higher rod so it would have more "freedom", but I guess it's just a matter of taste... Do you sell that kind of model? I'm sure a lot would be interested! It has that cool "vintage" feeling.

Very cool! Did you make that yourself? Now that's real modeling! Today we're like spoiled brats, with our perfectly fitting kits and aftermarket parts.
That's how they made models before styrene. You had a block of wood and a knife. Instructions (if there were any) told you to "whittle away all wood that doesn't belong to a spitfire" :-)

Thanks guys! It is actually made to be hung on the wall.It is 1/32 scale made from four pieces of butternut.one for the wings,one for the fuse and 2 for the horiz.stabs.The roundel is in basswood.All measurements were taken from a 1/32 plastic model.They are not for sale but for fun!
