paint removal

i,ve painted the clear plastic parts with humbrol clear colour orange but i,ve put it on far to thick what is best to remove it i,ve tried enamel thinners that didn,t work seemed to make the platic go brittle as well and white spirit but that hasn,t cured it any suggestions please??????

I would think oven cleaner would take the paint off for you. We have a cleaner here called Castrol Super Clean.. not sure what it would be called there.. That would work too.. Niether should harn the canopy.. Hope it helps

Second on the oven cleaner. Easy-off brand works well.

Hi,

Oven cleaner in France too ! A very good recipe !

If the paint coat is thick, let the part overnight in a closed plastic bag. Open and wash the oven cleaner (must wear gloves !), see... the paint has disappeared, and your part is like it's just off the sprue !
