about a week and a half ago i was dared to actually finish this kit,so this is how its been for the last couple of years, ive done some more rigging to it since i took these pics, but nothing too noticeable from how it looks here. and every time i pick it up something seems to fall off or snap loose!

i'm working on her right now, mal. the thing is i have to leave the rigging to dry until its safe to handle, about 20-30 mins. while its like this if i try to work on somthing else its bound to get nudged ect. so time for a cuppa and a lurk on here!
P.S. as you can see, putting a piece of white paper on your desk makes these fine fishing lines easier to see

Hi Phil!
Looks very good! Making riggings in 1/48 is the hell of a work... but in 1/72!!! Is there a word for that? :-)
Good Luck Baron!

I'm not sure I would want to tackle a SMER offering of this aircraft, it's not a modern release, is it? I would, however, fancy having a crack at Eduards kit, especially if it's anything like their F.2B.

the smer kit is quite dire, and its the reason i bought this one, because it was impossible to work out the rigging, then i heard that this kit has a full rigging diagram and the rest is history!

Hi Mal!
How did you get rid of all those rivets on the fuselage? Or did you leave them on your model? You've guessed it, I also have the Smer Walrus in my stash... but I have no excuse as I bought it after Classic Airframes released theirs! Am I crazy? :-)

Sorry Phil we seemed to be hijacking your thread, last on the Walrus.
The rivets, and the engraved decal positions are filled and sanded.
Err, yep, your crazy

Hello Mr. Almonkey!
I believe I've found your problem. It seems as though while your DH2 was sitting idle all that time a family of spiders has taken up residence in the wings and spun webs everywhere. This may be weakening the glue and causing things to "fall off or snap loose."
Also I noticed that you forgot to put on the wheels and the propeller is in the wrong place. As with all respectable aircraft the propeller should be in front of the nose. Perhaps when these items are fixed you may want to invest in an aftermarket HUD (heads up display) and radar for the cockpit.

herman- i should think about training those spiders! :-) at the time of posting it still needs a little more rigging work, but i should get it finished by today (famous last words)
stephen- its the eduard 1/72 profipack version, its basicly everything in one box, kit, small p/e fret, pre cut masks and most important of all a rigging "map"
