i don't want to see another WW1kit for at least 2 months! howver when it comes to a rigging job this one must be as complex as it gets. also when modellers talk about surgery on kits, does it look like my second pic! :-) p.s. there are some more pics in the m.o.m thread

Almonkey,
Anyone who can build that kit and keep their sanity intact deserves my vote for MOM. You are still sane aren't you?
Very nice

Hi Phil

That's a beautiful job - especially on the rigging! From the pics I'm guessing it's Eduard's 1/72 scale version... I've got its big brother and I'd be delighted if it turns out looking anything like as good!

Do you fancy writing a Feature on how you tackled it?

All the best

i did'nt have a dgital camera at the time i started this, so there are'nt any pics of it being rigged (and did i mention i rigged a lot of the wings, then had to cut it away and start again!) but i'm more than happy to put together an article on what i learned about rigging in the 2 years this has been on the go. i have some more WW1 kits in my stash, and i can build one and show how i rig planes from the off--------
BUT NOT FOR A WHILE! :-)

Hi Phil!

That's a lovely little model! The rigging must have pushed you to the limits! Congratulations for this incredible job!
I didn't knew you have small fingers!

Thats a great job!
With what youve learnt about rigging are you now planning to offer your services to the naval dept?
Im sure plenty of people would like you to rig their models of HMS Victory or Cutty Sark :-)
