This is Hasegawa's Nakajima C6N1-S Saiun (Myrt) night fighter with an Eduard A.M set added ( most of which is in the cockpit witch you can't see ). Mr Color paints were used over Alclad 2 Aluminium paint. Kit decals were used and weathered with Mig powders. The paint was scraped off with my scalpel. An excellent kit to build with the option of open or closed flaps. The only trouble with the night fighter version of the Nakajima C6N1-S Saiun is you don't get the option of an open canopy, so i had to modify the "spare" one.
Thanks for looking, Andy (++)

Hi Andy:

Nice looking Nakajima you got there. I like the weathering you´ve done on it.
The weasted paint is chiped paint or metalaizar over the green paint?
Congrats

Thanks Carlos. Its a bit of both with the metalizer :-) .
There is an undercoat of Alclad, but when i was chipping the paint off in some places i chipped the aluminium off as well, so i had to touch it up.

Nice one Andy!

Did you take any pics of the Eduard-detailed cockpit before you sealed it all out of view? I like the worn hinomarus - are they painted on or chipped decals?

All the best

Hi Rowan,
I have a couple of pics of the cockpit, but my camera is useless at close up shots. The hinomarus are chipped decals. I have tried painting them on before but they always look wonky and oval shaped :-).

The top one had a bit more painting done to it after the pic as i wasn't quite happy with it.

Hi Andy!

That's a great looking model! Nice weathering also
It seems to be very big. Do you have enough space on your shelves? Otherwise you could send it to France

Congratz !!! Very brave with the weathering... ( Maybe less weathering on the left side would be better )

Detailed work for 1/48... and Would be nice to see under side of the plane too... ( For sure your have done some weathering there too.)

Still Clean plane ready to land....
