Just posted, a fairly significant News Story from Dragon Models - the future release of a 1/48th scale Focke-Wulf Ta 154 "Moskito". Well, you may say, nice idea, but what''s so significant about this over other releases?
Well, for a while now, Armor modellers have been accustomed to DML''s ''3-in-1'' kits. Basically, this means you can build one of three versions ''from the box'' - Now , for the first time, DML has applied this to an aviation kit... Very significant indeed!! The full story (and some images) can be seen:

Here I sit with the Revell Pro Modeler 1:48th kit
but I still like the idea of the Dragon
release. Tricycle landing gear a/c seem
to push my buttons. And on that topic, I
didn't see any mention of nose weight to
hold the model on its gear? That would have
been a nice touch.

Nice... but... why a proto version? Hoping to see more of these kits coming out.

Great, just great
I go and sell off all my Luft 46 and prototype never-in-use aircraft kits including the R-M boxing of the Ta-154 and DML does this to me. :-)
Of course, I'm a sucker for twin-engine WWII aircraft, and want to support and encourage this 3-in-1 behavior, so it looks like I'll have to go back on my earlier decision and purchase this one.
Now how about a new tool Do-17 Z (Hint, hint )
