Well, I opted grey/grey for my J 35 in 1/72, mainly because I want the beholder to focus on the exquisite shapes of the "Dragon". I've just finished decaling, and have TONS of work left.
Big question is: - Will I make it for the February MOM!?! :-)
Additional question is: - I've noticed that a lot of people use blue backgrounds when taking pictures of their model aircraft, see for example all three great pictures here. Does anybody here know how to accomplish this?
Cheers!

Hi PolarBear, That is one SEXY Saab.
About the blue photo technique.......
There was a feature on Armorama somewhere about a month ago that described how to do it. It involved a piece of blue posterboard paper and proper lighting techniques.

Hi Polar Bear.
That Saab is really looking the business!
The photos are done with the model sitting on a piece of paper card.
You can buy this in the hobby shops that sell oil paint, pastels etc.More of an art shop than a hobby shop. They sell both card and paper card and its very cheap.I have a piece of purple card that I use but that blue looks really cool.Think I'll get myself something similar.
Bear in mind that depending on what lighting you use the card will come out different colours. With a flash my purple card looks blue.
Very easy to do,I think theres an article on Armorama about it somewhere as well.
Heres one of mine.
Its a good excuse to get a photo of a Spitfire in a thread :-)
Hope this helps, and looking forward to seeing the photos of the finished Draken!
