Hi Stephen

Phew! I'm still safe... just - my Golden Rule about not doing 1/72 protected me but, if Eduard or Roden decide to bring out WW1 multi-engined types in 1/48... I'm doomed!

All the best

Tha Stakken is a big one.
I dont do 1/72 either, but an exception for me is Rodens Felixstowe F2A,it´s only 41 cm in wingspan.i have broken the topwing four times under construktion, i guess my workshop is to small :-)
I hope Parts will do an detail set for the Stakken

cheers

thats some nice detailing on that front gunners position lars, i've ummed and arrrred about buying this felixstowe myself quite a few times, but i still have a roden gotha to build (maybe for the bombs away campaign)
but the staaken, man i am drooling here! i became a member of that forum due to stephen and have been following that thread and wow!
i need to do lots of diy to sweeten my other half up to let me bag one of those

Lars:

Your Felixstowe appears to have same problem mine does -- the lower wing droops. What I did was cut an inch long piece of 3/32" sq Evergreen & glued it under the deck such that it pushes down on the lower wing spars a bit & forces the lower wings to lie straighter. You might look at that ... I will admit mine isn't done yet, so I cannot tell if I have helped or hurt my effort ...

I have the Part set also, but I had started much of the interior from scratch before I got it .... I agree that a Part set for the Staaken would be great -- I really like the Part kits -- I think in every case, Part beats Eduard ...
