Finally finished! The kit is Hasegawa's in 1/72, with some etch and some scratch-built parts added. The RB 27 Falcons are from Top Gun.
This scheme was the last one used for this 50 year old aircraft! Hard to believe that this beast is half a century old! Look at the shape of this futuristic bird! :-D
Unfortunately, they have all been retired from service a couple of years ago
This was the first time I worked with photoetched parts! Great fun, albeit a little tricky at times! 1/72 is soo small!!!
[
This is the tenth model that I finish! Personally, I am more than pleased (even though I dropped the model at an early stage, which gave me all kinds of headaces)!
All comments are welcome!
Cheers!

Hi Polar Bear.
Thats a great job! Great finish and the details are very impressive.
That cockpit looked like a lot of "fun" Even better that its in 1/72.
Looking forward to doing some cockpit detail myself when i get around to the Tamiya/Academy kits in my stash.
Lets give these 1/48th guys a run for their money in the detail dept

Vance write;
There has been rumours for quite some time that either IPMS Austria (that made a very nice resin Saab J29 Tunnan in 1/72) or Neomega (that made a very nive resin Saab J29 Tunnan in 1/48 and is currently working on a 1/48 of the Saab Sk60 105 trainer) will make a Draken in 1/48. I think it is going to be a while.
And then there is an old, obscure model in 1/51 (vacuformed kit?) that the old geezers at the IPMS Stockholm website keep referring to.
Anyhow, I'm sticking with 1/72.
Cheers!
