Hi Carlos.
Looking great.
Is the cockpit the kit one or have you added to it?
The difference in detail between Tamiya and the Airfix kits Ive been building is incredible, and even more so when you move up to 1/48. I wish I had the space to build 1/48.
Ive just finished a MK2 nightfighter in 1/72.Pics on the thread.
One question/observation is the seatbelts. Are they ready painted/printed belts? They seem to stand out and have an almost "cartoon" appearance to them.
Looking forward to seeing it finished.
Nice job so far

Hi Nigel:
Thank you.
The cockpit is the one of the kit.
The seat belts were made with the decals of the kit applied over leadŽs foil (from a fine bottle of wine), thatŽs why you notice them like a cartoon.
IŽll keep on posting pics
I saw your Mk 2 and it looks really very nice. Well done.
YouŽre right, the diference in detail between the Tamiya and Airfix kits is very notorious, and the gral. fit too amen of other things like sink marks, flash, etc...
Are you going to try with the Tamiya Spit. Mk I in 1/72 ? YouŽll be happy with the result. IŽm sure youŽll make a great work with it.
Thank you.

Hi Carlos!
The internal work you did is great! IŽm happy to see the Tamiya kit has this level of detail Once IŽll do mine IŽll remember your excellent work!
As Nigel said, the Seat Belts are looking "Cartoonish". I would paint them over to give a more realistic look and to blend them into the rest of the interior. Keep us informed with your progress with lots of pictures!

Hi there Carlos,
Aside from the comments already made on the harnesses your bird is looking excellent. Question, are you going to "grime up" the whole cockpit with some ashes and some chipping of the seats etc to give it that lived in look.
Nice job
Darren

Thank you guys.
Yes IŽll weather a bit the interior of the cockpit and the bomb bay.
About the seat belts IŽm thinking in replace them with same homemade ones, like the ones I use in my other works. This ones really looks like a cartoon. IŽll see.

Hi Carlos,
A great looking cockpit, which has given me some idea's for my own models as I'm just getting back into aircraft modelling.
Please tell me, what colours did you use for this interior, especially the main green colour.
Many thanks and I am looking forward to seeing more pictures as it progresses.
Mark

Hi Mark:
Thanks for the coments.
The main color for the cockpit is Humbrol 78 "Interior Green", black is Humbroll 33, Silver is Humbrol 11 (for drybrushing). The brown is a rest that I found without ID No.
