Hello all!

Here goes some pics of my most recent finished model, wich was used as a preparation for another project, an A7- P, testing some painting ideas, and getting to feel how it is to build a jet!

Here goes some pics:

Beautiful. Please tell me: how did you do the finish? It is amazing. (You know up until I took photos of MY stuff, I saw something like yours, and said, big deal. Looks realistic. But now I know better - the eyes can lie to you. The camera won't... I can't make mine look like this.)

As I said in the aircraft forum, this is a beautiful job Jose.
I almost hesitate to post in this forum as I don't feel I have enough experience to be a critic.
I find it very difficult to pull off a realistic look with a monotone paint scheme as you have here especially with no paint chipping. The (preshading?) on the panel lines and access doors is nicely done. Even a "slightly" worn look on the inside of the canopy!

If I absolutely had to find something to point out I'd say just a teeny weeny bit of fading on the decals located on the upper wings and near the exhausts. They don't exactly jump out and scream to be more faded but it is just a suggestion.

I doubt if my work will be as good as this in the next couple of years.
Very beautiful job Josepedro.

Thanks everyone for replying, and for the nice words...

The Kit is the Revell 1/48 Rafale M, and was built OOB including the decals.

The finish was achieved in a sequence of:
1 Grey primer
2. Pre-shading with very dark grey, eye- meter...
3. 4 coats of very thinned main gray, Lifecolor, and insisting on the areas to become lighter
5 Future
6 Decals
7 Future
8. Wash
9 Future
10 Satin coat from the Marabu range

Regards. José Pedro
