Hi Guys:

Here are more pics of my Mosquito.
I reworked a little the seat belts, glued the wings and stabilizers. I also worked the nose. I´m going to replace the 20 mm cannons with metal tubing.
Attaching the wings required some dry fiting and a little of filler. Tomorrow when well dryed I will sand smooth the details that remains in the seams and joins.

Hi nigel.
The 20 mm cannons are not the guns you see in the picture. What you see in the nose are the machine guns, the cannos goes in the underside of the of the fuselage aft the nose, in the last picture you can see where they fit. Cannos in metal tubing looks much better than the plastic ones of the kit. I´ll place them after the paint job, so they will keep the metal look.
This kit is very nice to build, I recomended it. Also the 1/72 Tamiya Moosie is great.
What do you think about the copilot s seat belt I made some changes there.

Hi Carlos.
I think the whole cockpit area looks just fine.
Im coming to the end of my Hurricane build and Im really looking forward to starting something with cockpit detail. The Airfix kits are great and were really good to use as a re entry to the hobby and see if I had still got some of the skills I developed when I was a teenager.
Now,,5 models into it again, and after buying a few Academy and Tamiya kits and seeing the awesome detail in them,I cant wait to start building something with real cockpit detail, etched panel lines, wheel well detail. I was sent some photoetch seatbelts for Luftwaffe aircraft and they should be fun.
And then theres all that lovely mottle camoflage and you never know,I may even try painting a spiral spinner one day as well
Looking forward to seeing the finished Mosquito Carlos, hope the walkround photo are usefull to you.

Yes Nigel. The Mosquito WA was very usefull to me. It´s helping me in understanding how the real thing looks like. The Moosies landing gears are a bit dificult to build. You have to be carefull and check where the parts exactly goes before gluing.

You´re Airfix kits are really well done. You´ll see when you start building Tamiya kits that they are a lot more easy to achieve a good result. If you´re able to put together that Airfix kits the way you do, you´re Tamiya or Academy builds will be outstanding.

What airbrush are you using ?

Hi Carlos.
Im using a Badger 150. Im going to order a fine nozzle and needle for it so I can do those mottles.Ive been practicing with the medium nozzle and instead of a neat mottle type patch I tend to get a bit of "splatter" around the edges, but I'll keep playing around with different air pressures and thinned paint until Im happy to have a go on a model.
At the moment Im torn between starting the Academy 190D and one of the many Spitfires in my stash.Maybe the Tamiya MK1,Special Hobby MK1 photo recon,or the Octopus Seafire.
A nice choice to have to make.
Im hoping to finish my Airfix Hurricane before I have to go away and work for a couple of weeks starting on Monday.
