sorry if I posted again in the wrong topic, i will like to know wich plane is this and if is there any models of it in 1/48,i never saw it and i fell in love with it i would love to build one

Hi Rodrigo

That's a Fairey Gannet. The only 1/48 scale kit I know of is Dynavector's vacuform.

Strange way to fold the wings btw. why not a full wingfold ?

Anyone got info on that ?

Hi Richard

We did it that way on the Seafire too - but not as extreme. it's to provide hanger-deck clearance, but is admittedly a complicated way of doing that... Maybe it's just us Brits showing off that we can have most folds in a wing!

I believe it was due to lower overhead heights on British Carriers hanger decks.
