some progress pictures on my latest project..CH-47A Chinook 1/35 scale.

cockpit and instrument panel. pilot's seat with PE seat belts.

more PE parts on turbine engine's cover.

replaced the turbine's hub with turned steel shafting.

the kit is surprisingly good..and the fitting is fair enough. gaps in the underside needs little fillers. there's enough space for conversion..the interior has little details and can accomodate aftermarket parts for variants of the CH-47. it's not totally finished yet as of now..i'm planning to build a gunship. comments and suggestions are welcome.

Good job so far. I think you are the first to actually post pics of one in progress. The rest of us who got one simply added it to the stacks. Keep us posted.

Wow liberator that looks great. The cockpit looks nicely done. Like the colors on your engines, if you don’t mind me asking on how did you achieve it. The photo etch screens, how were they to bend into shape, any problems. I have to agree with Gino, you’re the only one I’ve seen with any progress. Looking forward to seeing more.

BTW: the jeep is nice, will it be installed into the Chinook, if so will you have it straped down.

Does anyone know if the kit has Vietnam era markings?

Thanks
Chuck

That's a very nice looking Chinook. Is the blade droop natural or did you have to put a bend into them? If you did, then how did you do it?

Yes, comes with 1CAV markings. Also has hi-vis markings for a test aircraft as well.

Check out the review here at Armorama.

Thanks Gino,
I knew I saw the review, just didn't look in the right place.
