Built this about a year ago. It's the Hasegawa kit (A-4C). Mostly a great kit, a little trouble with gaps in the engines and ring roots - but what kit is 100% perfect, right :-) Victory Productions decals.
This model was built for a close friend of the family. LTJG Wendall Alcorn was shot down in 1965 and was listed as POW/MIA until just about the end of the conflict, earning him the dubious title as one of the longest held prisoners of the war. Really bad stuff happened while he was held, which I don't need to elaborate on, and this was my way of honoring him as well as the guys who didn't make it.
It was great to receive the positive feedback from the old Scooter pilots who I shared the photos with and I was honored myself when they asked to post it on their site: www.skyhawk.org
