Hi all,

I have bought the new Italeri Douglas B26K Invader today. I had only a swift look into the box, and the model has fine recessed lines, crisp small parts, so the whole kit looks like an improvement compared to the earlier Italeri kits.
What I want to ask, is there anybody who already built it? Since I have no references about this type, I cannot tell if the shape or measurements are right, does anybody has an idea about possible online sources for this type?

In general I would be grateful for any comments and ideas regarding this kit. Thank you!

Hi Gábor,
Sounds like a nice kit, what scale is it? I'm afraid I can't help with your question though.

It is 1/72.
It is a 60's version, there are three USAF SOW markings in the kit for Vietnam, and two CIA-operated planes in Rep. of Congo markings - unusually exotic choices for Italeri. Unfortunately the decals are the of the old, flat-overcoated style instead of the very nice glossy Cartograf prints.

Hi Gabor

Italeri wanted tooo much from one mold. It is no A-26K. The cockpit is wrong as is the undercarriage. The cowlings are wrong for the Congolese version.

A friend is building the kit and there is a lot of swearing involved ....

Sorry for the bad news. Do not shoot the messenger.

here is a Walk around

I also have this kit. On test fitting the fuselage, I noticed a misalignment of about 1mm on the fin.

Has any body got any pictures of the bombay?
