Here are more in-progress pics of my new hanger, almost all of the painting is done except for some weathering and final assembly.
Here are some test pics from today...
This last picture is taken with the camera placed inside the hanger looking out through the hanger doors towards the airfield.

Hi Les!
Great job!
What did you used for the grass? I particulary like the "higher" grass of the Do 335 pictures. Could you tell me more about how you did it?

Thanks Jean-Luc!
I got the grass from a hobby store, both Heki and Silfor make the tall grass mats. Its a good product but very expensive!
Another model posed on the tall grass mat...

Hi Les,
Sorry, I must have missed this post somehow. However, as with everything you do, it looks great! The attention to detail in your work never ceases to amaze me. I too like that tall grass as it adds yet more realizm to an already great dio with that beautiful hanger.
Great job!
Hermon

Hermon,
Thanks for looking at my work and the comments!
These pictures are just test pics of the unfinished hanger, I will finish it up this weekend but it is unlikely I will get to take any pictures of it any time soon, the weather is very cool and wet right now and is expected to stay that way through this weekend.
My next set of pictures should be a little better than these are, last Sunday I was in quite a hurry to get these test pics taken because the weather was starting to cloud up and I thought it was going to rain so I had to set up my photobase take some pics and put it away before the rain fell so I had no time to plan my shots.
I have found some new ready made trees that I want to buy so I can replace those awful looking trees that are mounted on my photobase now, they should help make my pictures more realistic looking without taking too much time and effort to do.

Dang Les,
The only way your pictures and dio's get any more realistic is if you start working in 1/1 scale. But, those trees really do look crapy.....so you may as well send them to me and I'll dispose of them for you.

Thanks Hermon,
I ordered those new trees this morning, I hope they are better than what I am using now because if they are not I wasted a lot of money!
The weather is bad now but by Sunday it is supposed to be clear which is good news for me because it will allow me to get some pics of the finished hanger. This time I will get some pics of the sides and roof, the wall in the back of the hanger is painted in a special ''tree'' camouflage pattern as seen on a hanger in ''Eagles of the Black Cross'' Vol. 3 on page 11.
If things go well on Sunday I will post some new pics Sunday night or Monday.

Awsome job Les.
The framework is a work of art on its own.
Plastic rod?..or some other cunning material?
Did you see the hanger pic I found on Corbis Stock site?

Thanks Peter!
The hanger is from a Faller kit.
Thanks for the information on the Corbis site, I will be checking that out soon.
My hanger is now finished, now all I need is some good weather so I can take some pictures of it.
Sunday is supposed to be clear and I might get some new pics posted Sunday night.
