Here’s my contribution to the latest round of early Messerschmitts from the “Legion Condor”.

This model depicts “6-10” of II./JG 88 circa 1937, flown by Gunther Lutzow. I have conflicting information in my references regarding whether or not this particular aircraft (6-10) is an “A” or a “B-1” variant. One reference notes it as an “A”, but the accompanying photo is such that the cockpit area is obstructed. My other references show that the oxygen filler and electrical socket hatches are under the canopy area of the starboard fuselage.

"A" or "B1"? Does it really matter when it looks that good? Nice background too.

just got my CA Bf 109 A/B from Hannants and I want to do that markings too ... your model is a great inspiration,

Hi James.
Thats a very sweet looking 109 you have there.
Lovely finish and very nicely photographs as well.
Is it 1/48th?
Do the decals come with the kit or are they stenciled/customs?
I also like the way the preshading shows slightly.Very nice job,as always.

Thank You David, Steffan, and Nigel! I appreciate your encouragement and kind wordfs!! Nigel, the decals are one of several options included with the kit. Absolutely gorgeous to work with, I've NEVER had decals lie down like them,. I wish my dog would lie down like they did!!

James
Which kit did you use? I can't remember ever building a BF 109 & looking at yours makes me want to give it a try once I get my work bench up & running.

D'oh! I missed the Classic Airframes in the title....Can tell I've been out of things for awhile. I'm not familiar with them. Would you reccomend the kit? [ [url]

Hi James!

Your "Bertha" looks very good. I also like the colorful background wich gives a nice contrast to the monochrome model. I would darken the panel lines though... but this is a matter of taste.
Was the kit's overall quality good? I plan to buy one of the new boxing with Polish Campaign decoration.
