The aircraft never went beyond prototype stage and was never bought by any air force, so you can be historically accurate and do what the instructions say, or you can use any national style markings and camo scheme.

At Williams AFB I sat in the cockpit of one. There I met the project chief test pilot about a month before he died preparing to demonstrate the F-20 to ROK. He told me alot about it, the pros and cons.
In 83-84 there was talk about buying it for USAF ADC. As much as I wanted USAF to procure F-20, that would ahve been a boondoggle; there was also talk about buying it for the Aggressor squadrons.
My notes of our conversation read F-20 was an excellent state-of-the-art fighter that died because it could not compete with F-16 in Europe. Within 2/3 of combat radius it was superior to F-16, but that additional 1/3 was where F-16 outhauled it, and that was what USAFE needed for Air-Land Battle.
When it was not chosen for ADC or aggressor and USAF discarded it, it was tainted towards the export market it was designed for and would have excelled in--after all, F-15 & F-16 were being offered.
ROC, ROK, PAF, Venezuela--these are countries that were interested. I think a token USAF ADC scheme would be interesting, too.

Hi guy's you read my mind, I have just started a 1/144 scale F-20.
Could anyone tell me what shade of gray the dark gray is?
Sorry but my knowledge of modern US colours is very limited.
Ciao
Luciano
