Hi guys. Today when masking the canopy of my Mosquito FB Mk VI a disaster occurred. Donīt know how I broke the canopy
Please, does anybody knows how can I obtain a replacement canopy
Iīm thinking in contacting Tamiya America but in their web page they say that the e-mail contact is only for US residents.
If somebody has a it will be very much appreciated.

Hi Carlos

Probably a stupid question... but does the box have an Argentinian importer's sticker? If so, they might be worth contacting.

If you have no luck at all, Squadron/Falcon do superb vacuform replacement canopies.

All the best

Hi Rowan: Thank you very much for the info.
At the present time thereīs no a Tamiya oficial importer or distributor in Argentina.
To contact Squadron/Falcon is good option. Do you have their web adress ?
Thanks again.

Oh Carlos!,,
What have you gone and done?
Vacuform would definately be the way to go.
At least with vacform canopies you normally get 2,so you'll have a spare for yourself in the future
Im looking forward to seeing this Mossie, guess I'll just have to wait a bit longer

Hi Nigel.
You canīt imagine how I feel this afternoon when I made such a mess I think that my neighbours will belive Iīm nuts.
The Moosie is practically finished, decaled and coated. The only things that are resting are the rockets, the navigation lights in the wings and the canopy. I also made a base representing the airstrip with grass in both sides. Iīm happy the way itīs comming out (not with the this afternoon accident).
Iīll take some pics as itīs now and post them here.
I really donīt know how this happens, as is said thereīs always a first time, and I hope the last and only one for me.
Regards,
Carlos

Hi Carlos

I hate to say it, but accidents are a fact of modelling. It doesn't matter how careful you are, sometimes things just seem to have a will of their own...

Looking forward to seeing the finished Mossie.

All the best

Hi fellows.
I tried to buy the Squdron canopy but itīs out of stock, so I decided to buy the Falcon Set of World War 2 Fighters (Part 2) in wich is included the Moosie FB Mk VI canopy for the Tamiya kit. It comes with other six canopies. I also will use the Goster Meteor Mk III canopie to make the conversion of the Tamiya Mk I kit that have the airebrakes in the wings (I have that kit in my stash for 4 years now).

I think that I will recieve the Set in two or three weeks. Iīll let you know how it goes.

Thanks Mal.
You used the right word, the feeling was devastating. Imagine, with the Moosie finished and with a brooken canopy !
I hope the canopy of this set works well.

Regards.
