Hi, I almost finished my academy P-38J on 1/48 scale and want to put it on a diorama. I don't have many inspiration exept for puting it on a landing strip.
Other ideas are always welcome.
Thanks, Davy

Wheels are down then?
If so, you could do a rearming scene, a refueling scene. You could have it taxiing on a runway (if there is a pilot). Add a utility cart or a jeep that just delivered the pilot. As a backdrop you could have protective wall/bunker or a hanger.
If there is a pilot, you could an airborn 2' off the ground coming for a landing diorama.

Hi Davy!
More aircraft dioramas!
You might want to check out this site: http://www.kazoku.org/xp-38n/walkaround/index.htm
Browse around, and you'll find loads of really great photos. Hopefully you'll find something that will help you with the inspiration!
I would go for the donut-scene! Personally, I'm planning a future diorama in which an aircraft is beeing towed by a jeep...
Don't forget to keep us updated!
Cheers!
Finally - a breathtaking, albeit hard to build, diorama...
