Hello folks,

Things seem to be quiet in the Luftwaffe build. Has anybody started yet or no?

Well, as for me, I plead guilty, since I have been having lots of work at the office(nights out work and all), plus I was making a bike for the comp at Best1hobby. It was a hell of a kit, and helped me overcome the AMS setting in after I completed my B-24D Liberator in November.

Will be starting on my Ju-88 tonite, I promise !

Anybody else wanna share their experiences?

BP - How are you? I finished my FW190 - F8 by Revell. It came out good. My wife received a new digital camera for Xmas. She is the photographer. She is going to take some pictures of several items that I have finished and hopefully I 'll be able to post them in the near future. Butch Cassidy Tanks46.

Im with you bytepilot, kinda been busy, but pluggin along, have the cockpit finished, first try with resin, just glued the fuse adding some detail to the lower wing landing gear bays, hopefully will be making more progress by this weekend.....

:-) Started my Ju 87 but my daughter bought me a 109 E-4/7 Trop for Christmas, so I will be concentrating on finishing that, (based on the theory that she is more likely to buy me more if she sees this one completed). I will try and complete the Ju 87 as well though.

:-) I have a real problem now . I realised that I had 2 other 109s sitting on the shelf, so I thought that I would build those 2 as well, EEK.
For the group build I am now doing: A 109 E-7 Trop of Hans-Joachim Marseille, obviously in desert cam, a 109 E-4 of Adolf Galland in Sept 1940 in RLM 74, 75 and 65/76? A 109 E-3 of which I haven't decided on the markings. I have a 109 E-4 of Helmut Wick, with RLM 71/ 02 uppersurfaces, and I would like to do a 109 with RLM 70/71 uppersurfaces. So 3 109s and I will still try and finish the JU 87, but don't hold your breath. I'm also trying to complete:
a) Dewotine 250.
b) P47N Thunderbolt
c) SB2C-4 Helldiver
d) F6F Hellcat
e) Ju 87 B-2 Trop
f) P 40 Kittyhawk
g) Me 262A-1a/U-4
h) Bf 110G-2
These are all relatively near completion, and what I have been working on since joining Armorama, so I'm hoping to finish these over the next couple of months. It looks like I will be getting a digital camera pretty soon, so I am hoping to post a few pics.

Well, I'm still working slowly...
Most main parts are prepared.
The cockpit needs it's decals and then a wash and drybrush. After that, final assembly will be pretty fast.

I'm holding my breath too, I've never finished one in three months before. However the three cockpits are sprayed, as are the wheel hubs and props. Sunday I hope to wash and drybrush them and start building.
I've also got a Corsair lined up for that group build as well? EEK!! :-)
Also my Bf 110 took a step nearer completion. I was stuck on painting the prop spinners. They are RLM 70/ RLM 23 seperated by a thin white line. I had painted the white but was unable to cut masking tape thin enough with parellel sides. Then I hit on the idea of taping 2 scalpel blades together and had the white masked out inside 10 minutes. The RLM 70 was painted along with the 109 blades and spinners, I intend to spray the RLM 23 this afternoon. :-)

I was just looking through this thread to confirm the finish date for the luftwaffe group build and thought I would update you on where I am with these models:
The 109 E-3 is finished, all but gluing one end of the antena wire and adding insulators. I will be taking pics when the sun is in the right place, looks like another nice day.
The 109 E-4 Galland is waiting for it's decals. (slight problem here as I discovered when doing the E-3 the decals are not quite in register, so I'm having to play about with many kit decals to finish this).
The 109 E-7 Trop is almost ready for its camo green.
a) Dewoitine 520 (completed, see rivet review board)
b) P47N Thunderbolt (completed, see rivet review board)
c) SB2C-4 Helldiver (decided that this needs to be weathered differently, wont be long)
d) F6F Hellcat (completed, see rivet review board)
e) Ju 87 B-2 Trop (no movement, still trying to figure the way to go on this one)
f) P 40 Kittyhawk (no movement, still trying to sort out the canopy. Think I've cracked it though, if so wont be long)
g) Me 262A-1a/U-4 (decals on, waiting a wash, wont be long)
h) Bf 110G-2 (just had it's matt coat, so nearly done)
Just realised that My Heinkell 111 and Sea Fury are missing of this list both will be completed, fingers crossed this week. (Heinkel 111 finished 01/03/03 see rivet review board)
Just hope I don't get a job soon

Hmm, Mal, looks like only a job is gonna prevent you from achieving a record here!

10 kits in such a short time..... That's my average for a period of 2 years!!!! Way to go!!

Personally, I doubt if I'd be in the mood for modeling if I was out of a job. The stress of getting a new one would get to me before anything else !

So, carry on Mal.... May the force be with thee, and may thou flood the RRB with more A/c than Armor !

Things haven't gone quite to plan with my E-3, I've taken pics but spotted a few "things" that need tweaking. As I have to go to college in 1/2 an hour, I'll sort it tonight, hopefully and post pics tomorrow

I'd rather have a job but I'm doing 2 college courses, with a possible job at the end. You couldn't really call it a record, apart from the group build models they have all been on the go for some time, years in some cases. It's just that this site has given me the incentive to get them finished. Being out of work gives me the time but the state only gives me £3.86 a week so there aint any for modelling supplies. Of course when I do find work there will be money for models (don't tell 'er indoors) but no time for modelling, so I have to get it all in now. :-)
