Dooohhh, why couldn't they have released this about a year ago, as i have already done the interior of my B-25 B ( that's all i have done to it though :-) )
Could this be fitted in the C and D versions ?

Doh! I have just added the instrument panel to my B-25. You may remember that the instrument decal was absent in my kit. Rowan had sent me a good scan (thanks again mate) but in the end I painted it black on the front, including instrument faces, white on the back and scribed in the dials. Works reasonably well but this set would not only saved an awful lot of trouble it would have, as Rowan says, improved the week parts of the kit.
Nice review, bad timing :-)

Hi Mal
Double "Doh!" I was just about to PM you to see whether the scan had been any use, or if you'd like the proper decal now I've got this replacement set for my own build. Oh well...
All the best
Rowan
EDIT: Hi Andy - I've had a look in Detail & Scale Vol. and there do seem to have been some changes to the instrument panel between the B-25B and the 'C & 'D versions.

Thanks for the thought Rowan, I only put it in on Friday It's cool, this model is going to be more about the "Bat outta Hell" markings than the cockpit. I'm gonna use AM decal seat belts, to see how they look

Triple Doh! I don't don't believe it! (as Victor Meldrew would say...)

so i actually REALLY like the kit supplied instrument panel... wondering how much of an improvement the eduard one could be? i know what their new instrument panels are like, but i just don't see it being that much better.
the seats looks to be a great improvemnt though, and i suppose they would be easier to switch out even though i've already got the cockpit built up.
now, is that worth $19?
maybe i should just get the thing finished and forget the aftermarket parts.

Hi Vance
I know exactly what you mean - it's a lot extra to add to the cost of the Accurate Miniatures kit, but you should take a look at these colour etched sets at your LHS if you get a chance. I was equally sceptical until I saw them close up... the detail that Eduard manage to print/paint (however they do it) is really quite extraordinary.
All the best
