Nice one Paulo
I've got the Planet Models' 1/48 scale version just begging to be finished - I made a start and then got distracted. Seeing your build has re-inspired me!
All the best

Hi Rowan,
Iīm just rediscovering the airplanes, Iīve been modelling military vehicles for a long time, and recently I got my attention to airplanes and decided to build all that fine planes that I love, and now I just canīt stop building planes....
This was the first time I did a camouflaged german fighter, it was very nice to see the model finished, but I have to re-learn a lot of things on plane building tough!
Cheers

Hi again Paulo
If that's your first try at Luftwaffe camouflage, you've made an excellent job of it! Now you've caught the Aircraft bug, I look forward to seeing more of your builds.

Nice one Paulo, a very good first time effort of German cammo
If the Ta 183 was the inspiration for the Mig 15, was the Flitzer the inspiration for the Vampire? I now know where our own Flitzer takes his callsign from

Thats a nice job you did on that kit. Do you plan to make the prop version?
Mal Design work on the Vampire started in 1942. A production order was placed on 13 May 1944 and the first production example made its maiden flight on 20 April 1945. Its another case of parallel evolution after all one of rejected Me 262 proposal looked like a Meteor.

I donīt think about building the prop version because Iīm not serious into the Luft '46 projects, I do prefer to make operacional models. This little project I did because a pal sold me this model at a very low price , and could not give it away!

I also turn to build aircrafts after been building armour for a time and now I canīleave them.
Keep on modeling winghy things and enjoy

Hi Chad!
it was a very easy building, it took less than 2 weeks to complete the model. The overall fittings are excelent, I really almost didnīt use putty.

With a name like Flitzer, I had to respond... :-)
Great looking job Paulo. Like the camo a lot.
Flitzer means I think "madcap"...or crazy.
I'm sure our German members can verify.
Mad?...who me....well if the cap fits.
Hi Mal....there is no proof the Vamp influenced the Flitzer or vica versa. So it was a case of great minds thinking a like....a true coincidence except the Vamp got built.
And Paulo, hope you enjoyed making the Flitzer so much you'll consider other Luft 46 projects..
Cheers
Peter

Hi all!
Peter, I'm not German but I think "Flitzer" means "fast one". This word is used to define fast cars for example... "Der Manta flitzt wie eine Sau!" or "Der Golf GTI flitzt wie eine Sau!" I don't want to start a war between German Manta or Golf GTI fans!
Paulo, your TL Jäger looks very good! You did a great job on the camouflage wich looks very convincing!

Thanks everybody for replying!
Iīve considered this project a preparation for building some german aircrafts I got stacked... now itīs time to build them all!
Cheers

I have to agree with you, Iīve asked a friend about this meaning and he did confirm it, itīs like fast one...
