Hi Fellows:
For those who hasn´t seen this thread before here is the link for the previous post:

The bird is now painted with the RAF cammo in Dark Green - Ocean Grey - Midium Sea Grey. The paints are Model Mastter enamels. It has a coat of Future wainting for the decaling process. The oil radiator still is not painted.
Coments will be appreciated.

Hello CArlos!
Nice model so far!
I´d like to know how do you aply the Future, because, when I do aply using an airbrush I didn´t get this shine look, the flat base becomes a little satin shine, then I always have to re-aply Future with a paint brush where I going to aply the decal.
Cheers

Hi Paulo. Thank you.
I apply the Future with a wide flat and very soft paint brush (no. 6) directly over the paint work. I never use the airbrush. I give at least two or three coats over the entire model because it protects the paint work of the oil washes, and in the places that the decals will be placed I give one or two more coats. After applying the decals I give another one over the decals to protect and seal them.
The quantity of coats depends also of the paint you used. In my case that I always use Model Master enamels I use the mentioned quantity of Future coats but I think that it may change with other paints. You have to try.
Regards.
Carlos

Hi Carlos.
Looking good!
I like the sharp edge youve got to the camouflage.Did you use the blutac sausage technique?
Dont forget to dull the tyres and good luck with the Academy decals.

Hi Nigel:
Thank you.
To make the cammo I used Tamiya masking tape applied directly in a flat way. Now I´m decaling the bird and the Academy decals are giving me a lot of work. Tomorrow I´ll post some more pics.
Regards.

Hi Carlos, Looking good and will look awsome with decals and a matt coat applied.
I noticed the the wheel wells are the undersurface colour? I think they would, more than likely, have been in silver, as would the inner face of the doors and the undercarriage legs and wheels. Don't worry about it if it's a problem to change

Hi Mal:
Thank you.
I painted the wheel wells and inner parts of the doors medium sea Grey because I followed the kit instructions. Thanks for the advice, it´s a simple correction and I will do it. The decals are giving me some trouble but with care I´m making it.
I also painted the yellow strips of the edges of the wings. Later I will post some pics.
Regards.
