One of my oldies but goodies. (c. 1977-79)

Nakajima Ki-44-IIb (Model 2B) Shoki (Demon or Devil-Queller) of Lt. Koitsi Hiwakoga of the 57th Dokoritsu Hikotai (Independant Flying Group, [Direct-Command Unit]), HQ Chutai (Company [squadron]), 1st Shotai (Flight). Briefly defended Rabaul in late 1943. Camoflauge scheme B1a.

This is the old Otaki 1/48 kit

Painted with Pactra International Colors and Polly S. I used the kit Hinomaru but custom painted the Sentai tail insignia, data markings.

Hi Jean-Luc,

I have Nichimo's beautiful 1/48 Ki-43-I awaiting her turn to be posted. I have to sweep off about 10 years of dust first....

I have two of Hasegawa's 1/48 Shokis now, too. Tempted to start them ASAP. Tonight I started removing the Frank's salt and liquid masking.
