Afrika Bf-109

Just for fun, I present my Bf-109F of JG 27. The fun is guessing what kit and scale it is.
OK, a little more...
Yup, it is a 1/100 Doyusha kit. Pre painted with markings, with the base.
To put it in perspective, here's 'Franz' with a 1/72 Kubelwagen and a 1/48 Luftwaffe pilot...
Maybe not a model in the "I build and paint it" style, but a nice addition to my minor category of 1/100 aircraft.

as i read your intro, and scrolled down i thought its either really big or really small!
i have a little collection of konami sci-fi stuff, and the detail and painting on these tiny kits is quite amazing

Hi moJimbo
2 questions and 2 short answers:
1. this is definitely a "Friedrich" (from what you can see in such a small scale) the lower windows on the front windscreen was not present in later variants.
2. The Luftwaffe used Bf 109 G in N. Africa. e.g. HaJo Marseille died when the engine of his Bf 109 G-2 failed. I'm not sure whether they also used G-4 (but no G-6 or later)
HTH
cheers
