After some long, hard study, I've made a decision on what I'm going to build next. I have five commission builds going right now, but I need to start one for myself. I have a Classic Airframes Boulton Paul Defiant that's almost done (a LOT of work to lower vthe height of the turret). I'll have pics of that one soon.
Here's my choice:

These are the other kits on my "hot list." :

I have PE for all of them except Hasegawa's Fw 190A-3 (they recently issued one - a must have), and the F-86 has a Legend resin cockpit. Not shown us Eduard's 1/48 Roland C. !! ProfiPack (the one with the side windows & CURTAINS. Gotta like that !

Hi Bill
I'm looking forward to seeing the Defiant. I took plenty of walkaround pics to help with my own build. Don't forget the rivets - they leap out at you on the real a/c and the Classic Airframes kit just looks naked without them. I got distracted by other projects, but the parts are all cleaned up ready a waiting for me one day.
All the best

Thanks Mal !
It promises to be a nice project. I'll be doing Richard Bong's "Marge."
I'm afraid it's way too late to add any rivets to the Defiant. Here are some pics of it so far:

The added pics of the wash were for a little tutorial I did for another modeler. I haven't added the build to my website yet. I was working on the kit while a hacker (SOB) was wreaking havoc on me. Fly all the hackers from the highest yardarm I say.
Thanks again !

Hi Bill
Ooops! I see what you mean! Sorry... foot firmly in mouth there! But, that Defiant's going to be a beauty!
I'm doing the nightfighter version, so I'm trying to figure the best way to get a finish that will look like flat Night, but still show some detail and not end up looking like I've just painted the beast dark grey.
All the best
