How's the cockpit? Would the Verlinden update help much or be a waste of time? I've heard there are fit issues with the sidewalls.
How are the guns and ammo? Decently portrayed or just lumps? I haven't been real impressed with the few online glimpses I've caught of the guns.
Finally, which engine is included?

The cockpit, like the rest of the model, isn't terribly detailed, it has a pretty basic seat and instrument panel and some other bits and peices. The fit in a lot of the model wasn't too flash, especially the alignment of the two halves on the bottom of the fuselage, which seemed quite crude. I may build it again, as my first attempt ended in a bit of a disaster. :-)

Hi 18Bravo!

This link could be useful for you. it's a complete build review of the kit in Swiss post war markings at Master 194. The modeler used the verlinden set, rescribed the panel lines, added a stressed skin effect etc... really worth to take a look! The text is in French but the pictures speak for themselves.
If you need additional pictures just tell me, I have this kit in my stash...

Thanks. That is a heck of a nice build, and it looks as if the aftermarket cockpit is worth the price.

To say the least, it has the details and fit problems of a kit that's at least 25 years old. State of the art back then.

Thanks again, all. I've decided to jus go with the Trumpeter 1/24 version. I know the interior is highly detailed, so the cost outlay will be roughly the same. Plus I'll (hopefully) finally find a use for my Hasegawa 1/24 Willys Jeep.
