Would the Monogram Spitfire Mk1 work for a bird that was shipped to Malta and painted blue?

Are you talking about the Spitfire from USS Wasp? They were Spitfire Mk. Vc trop.

Hi Chip:
All the Spitfires deployed to Malta were Mk Vb and Mk Vc. No Spitfires Mk I were used there.
On Hyperscale site there is a discusion about Blue Spitfires in Malta but they also were Mk Vc. Here is the link and a picture:
