Does anyone know if there is a 1/48th RAF crew (mechanics and pilots) available somewhere?

Dragon's Luftwaffe ground crew & equipment set (ref.5532)
Will the above-mentioned figures be usable as brits?
To me the uniforms look quite similar.

Hi GJ
Have you really read the article? It is not just about the Dragon kit (which is really nice though) ....
Here is a picture of the set from the article:
Background largest box. And here the contents of the kit:
If you look for modern crew I cant help much ... maybe look for CMK or PJP ( http://www.pjproduction.net/items.php?CA=52&UID=2006051323580284.140.114.217))
cheers
Steffen

Yes, I've read it. Thanks for pointing it out. I'm looking for WWII RAF crew to put around a Mossie FB MkVI and possibly a Sea Mosquito. It would be nice to have somewhat more choice. And like I said, to me the Luftwaffe and RAF uniforms look quite similar.

OK so I misunderstood you. I'm sorry!
as for others, hmm. As already written. CMK, PJP. Hecker and Goros also have some.
I would not use Luftwaffe pilots! Maybe mechanics, but I guess american would suit better (also ICM & H&G) ... Accurate Armour is about to issue some British a/d cars, maybe some figures will follow.
Tamiya has a set with British soldiers which might be used as Home Guard .. be aware that they are rather small but some people are too...
Maybe Jean-Luc or Rowan could point out some others ...
cheers

Hi Geert-Jan
I have to admit I'm a bit at a loss to know what to add to Steffen's replies. WW2 RAF and Luftwaffe uniforms weren't really that similar - I guess the most obvious point of overlap was the penchant of Luftwaffe aces like Galland for wearing captured RAF fleece-lined flying-jackets - but standard kit was quite different.
Unless you're skilled at modifying uniforms, kit and insignia you really are better off going with the RAF personnel.
All the best
Rowan

@ steffen:No problem about the misunderstanding, it can happen.
@ Rowan: I will have to stay with British then, thanks anyway.
About Accurate Armour: I've seen the vehicles and they look absolutely great (really love the crash lorry). I've already contacted AA and this was their actual response:

Hi,
Thanks for the message, we are starting with these vehicles to gauge the response, other items may follow if the sales are good.

Guess we'll just have to wait and see...

Another source of figures that seems to have been missed by the other posters is the Airwaves range, which may still be available via Hannants (they took over the production of the p/e line when the original manufacturer folded)
