After this, unlike what the video says, the DR-21 program wasn't cancelled but was then launched from a modified B-52, not an SR-71, for its missions over Viet Nam and China.
At this time there were not many SR-71s and the government didn't want to lose them since the dyes were all destroyed under orders from the Sec. of Defense MacNamara.

IIRC I believe there was less then 50 SR-71/A-12/etc ever built
