I'm back with another question. The Acadamy kit offers both the Zuni rockets and Sidewinder missiles. Most pictures I have seen show one or the other mounted. Since this is a Marine bird, is it possible that both were mounted and if so, were both mounted on one side or could the Zunis be mounted on one side and the Sidewinders on the other.

Hi Bob
In Vietnam Marine Crusaders were mainly used as earth movers. Therefore it would be more likely to see them with the Zuni tubes or no rails at all. Also depending on the bomb load the Zuni tubes could be empty. In the kit supplied decals only the VMF(AW)-232 "Red Devils" is suitable for Vietnam. However VMF(AW)-212 operated off USS Oriskany and would have carried Winders, but not mixed loads.
Hope this helps.
