hi everyone. i got myself italeri's latest dornier DO-17E, the kit is ok but the cockpit is very very basic. therefore i was thinking on detailing the cockpit area.... do any company make AM parts for the cockpit?

Hi MoJimbo,

None that I know of--I did not find any when building my Do-17Z.

Here are some pix of the cockpit: Do-17 Cockpit

Eduard makes a PE interior for the Do-17Z, available from Squadron:

They don't make anything specifically for the 217E that I know of (but it's a fairly new release so something may be out soon), but perhaps you could use the PE set for the N or K, I'm assuming that they should be a little similar.

Hi Mike,

Typical, I find an interior AFTER I scratchbuild one. I put a variety of 'gizmology' into the cockpit.

MoJimbo, mine is the Monogram--now Revell--kit. Here it is:

Fred,

You didn't miss much, assembling the cockpit from those tiny little PE pieces is considered cruel and unusual punishment in most parts of the world.

Nice work on your kit, I've almost got my old bird finished. Hand me down from my Dad who bought new in the 60's. I'm doing it as a KG 76 plane from the BoB.

Cheers,

Mike
