:-) This is the Hasegawa 1/48 Junkers Ju 87 B-2 Trop. It is painted with Xtracolour enamals. I used the kit decals. The camouflage is freehand airbrushed. It's not a very good picture, I will try and do better when I can get better conditions.

Nice !
I like the freehand airbrushing job.
What kind or airbrush do you have, what was the psi when you did the work, how close did you hold the AB gun and how much was the paint thinned?
Thanks,
Andrew

I use a badger 200 single action. The paint is Xtracolour (Hannants own brand) it's a gloss paint to save having to use a gloss cote. It is thinned with white spirit. Thinning ratio was between 60-40 to 70-30 ( this paint job was done over several days and ambiant conditions changed). The consistancy had to be bang on because I was spraying down to 5mm from the surface, If it wasn't right then spiders legs or a rough finish would have been the result. Pressure was as low as I could get my compressor, about half a bar (I don't know what that is in psi. It took me over 1 1/2 hours to draw the camouflage scheme on the model, I had to use a lumicolour pen (green) because pencil wouldn't work on the gloss surface. It took 3 sittings of over an hour each to complete the scheme. Hardest bit was deciding to overspray with light grey for the faded look. I now use a cote of Klear before doing that.

A very nice model. I'm doing the Revell boxing of the same kit for the Luftwaffe group build. Well I hope to as I'm doing 3 Bf109s as well. I'mgoing to be doing the scheme with the snake down the side. looks really cool, but I believe the snake was white (theatre colour) not red as depicted by Revell. I have 2 sheets of decals for that scheme. They are not very good, apart from the white snake, so I intend to use the kit decals for the majority of the markings and the snake from the other sheet. If you like, and agree with me that the snake should be white you can have the spare snake (you can have it even if you don't agree with me. The red snake does look good). I've just thought do you get the Revell boxing? Anyway if you want it, it's yours.

:-) Yeh I love this scheme as well, I chose it even though I knew it was going to be difficult but I'm pleased with the results. This model has actually been sitting in this unfinished state for quite some time now. The problem is the interior frames in the canopy. There are seperate internal frames and the kit solution is decals, but for lots of reasons these don't work. For me anyway. I've managed to do the fixed centre conopy, using small square section plastic rod, anchored at either end with white glue (so as not to mar the canopy) But this won't work on the pilots sliding portion, because the rod is to thick to let it pass over the centre one. I could close the cockpit but I would like to have it open. There is a similar problem with the gunners canopy but it slides to the rear and the rames foul the fuselage. I might do this closed. Any ideas would be welcome.
