Hi Erwin
this is a new area for me but as a Cat would have spent most of its life in or over salt water you might check out how ships weather. I guess the hull and outrigger floats where applicable would take on the effects of sitting in and pushing through sea water just like a ship and leading edges on the wings and prop blades might have caught a fair bit of wear and tear flying through salt laden air and spray.
The question is ...lol...do our mariner friends weather their ship models and if so how?
Might be a few worthwhile tips there.
I'll be as interested as you to see what sage advise turns up. Any info gained here could help me when I do flying boat/sea plane profiles in the future.
Cheers and thanks for an interesting question.
