After much negotiating I'm happy to announce a unique prize for the winner of the Aircraft Model of the Month, starting with the winner of the June show.
An A5 size "Harricature" a carricature of the winning entry drawn by our very own Harri (Jetprovest). You may have seen a couple of Harri's models in the MOM galleries and he is a very good modeller, but his real talant is drawing and painting. He is very modest about both but the world renoun aviation artist Nicolas Trudgian has told him he has talant and that's good enough fo me.
Harri, when are you going to arrange a trip to Nic's garden railway? As he keeps telling you to bring a some friends, that he doesn't realise you don't have, I'll go
Anyway here are a few examples of what we are talking about
As I said the actual prize will be an original drawn by Harri on A5. Harri will also do commissions I must say I like these they are not over the top carricatures but subtly done and cool.
And no, I'm not on a commission (or am I........Harri?)
Mal
P.S. I will start the June MOM tomorrow, who will be the first to win a Harricature?

What a great prize!
Will the caracature be marked as MOM winner and the date?
Who will be the first I wonder?
One things for sure,,it wont be me,as I have nothing to enter this month.Must get on a building frenzy when I get home and build up a stock of potential entries to see me through the busy months :-)
Nice one Mal and Harri

Hi Mal and Harri
What a great idea and what excellent artwork!
Harri - be careful how you caricature a Spitfire while Mal's watching! :-)
All the best

Hi all
I'm glad that everyone likes this idea. To be honest I thought it would be nice to give something back to the guys on Armorama. Everytime I've ever asked a question on here or recieved comments people have always been so helpful and courteous it makes you realise what a friendly forum this is. So this is my contribution to the Armorama community.
I also think that the quality of the models entered in the competition deserves to be rewarded. I'm really in awe of some of you chaps!
Here's my cheeky bit of self-promotion; If anyone is interested in commisioning me then please don't hesitate to PM me.
Don't worry Rowan, I've already done a Spitfire PR19 and it's been passed by Mal! :-)

A fantastic and generous offer from 'Harri'.
I will definitely be entering this months comp, now if only no-one else enters, i might win :-) .

Harricature Nige this hadn't been mentioned but I'm sure Harri will oblige. This will make it just a little more unique and individual

Rowan, as Harri has said he did a PR XIX and it is excellent. Like I say his "caricatures" are quite subtle and always look like what they are supposed to be. I'm hoping to win with a Spitfire Mk IX, someday
