Post your entries for the MOM for May here.
Please read the following.
1. Do not forget to add information about the model, voters will be encouraged to check this out before voting and it may influence their vote. New.......please put the info about your model in one place. I will only copy the first set of information to put in the gallery, so if you add a piece before each picture only the first part (above the first pic) will be copied.
2. Only post 3 pics, no composites and no pics of real aircraft (even for comparison)
3. Any model of an aircraft, from any era in any scale is eligible
4. Entry will be open until the 15th
5. Please comply with this
Please rename your pics using a number followed by your CALLSIGN. By this I mean the file name, this is because:
a. When I copy the pics into a folder on my hard drive I have to copy them with the original filename (so I can't change them when I copy them)
b. So that they stay together in the gallery and so that I don't have to name each pic and so they appear in the order in which they were posted I have to re-name each pic with the member’s callsign. You may imagine what it's like trying to get the 3 pics from each member together (50-60 pics in total with all sorts of file names and some not matching their mates).
So if you use a file name that begins with a number and has your Callsign you will save me about 2 hours work
For example my 3 pics could be 001Holdfast, 002Holdfast and 003Holdfast. I hope this is clear
Lets see if we can get an even better turn out this month and for the coming year.
Entry will close on the 15th and I will start the voting thread as soon as possible after that.
Starting this month there will be a prize to the winning entry of a "Harricature," a caricature of that entry drawn by Harri (Jetprovost), see thread about this HERE

This is Hasegawa's 1/48 Spitfire Mk IX. Airbrushed with Vallejo air, the panel lines done with an oil wash. The decals were from the spares box and the seat harness is from the Eduard prepainted set.

Hi all!
Here's my entry for this month's MOM: Smer's 1/48 Fiat CR.32 build for the Spanish Civil War Group Build.
All the details were scratchbuilded because the Smer kit is really ugly! The recessed and relief details were done by rescribing the panel lines and adding small stripes of masking tape from Tamiya. The struts were made with Evergreen rods sanded to shape and the rest was from the spare box.
For additional pictures, you can take a look here.

Here is me entry for the June 2006 MOM.
It is the 1/32 scale Hasegawa Fw 190 A-8 built as a late war A-9 version.
I used Eagle Editions resin cowl ring, 14 blade engine cooling fan, and wooden prop blades.
The blown canopy and large Ta 152 style tail came from the Revell Fw 190D-9 kit.

Hi there
I suppose I'd better throw my Yak into the ring - if only for the sheer novelty of having a new kit to enter! It's Eduard's re-boxed Accurate Miniatures kit, build pretty much OOB and finished with WEM Soviet WW2 Colourcoats.
All the best
Rowan

here's my entry... this is the 1/48 Accurate Miniatures IL-2 Sturmovik. Basically, I applied the normal camo using tamiya acrylics, then I coated it with future and decaled the plane... I again coated it with future...
After final future coating... I then used white Poster color that is water-based, same as the one used by the russians. I just then took the liberty and artistic license simulate the wear and tear, fading that the white wash experienced during the WWII period.

This is the Hobbycraft 1/48 Hawker Sea Fury representing Lt Carmichael’s mount after gaining the kill of a Mig 15 on the 9th August 1952, during the Korean War.
The model is built OOB with the following improvements:
1. Scratch built Seat Harness, from etch buckles and port bottle “lead” foil.
2. Scratch built Pito tube, from stainless tube.
3. Scratch built “stinger” arrestor hook, using stainless wire, for the arm, and scrap plastic to fashion the hook.
4. Tail antenna replaced with wire.
5. Vac formed canopy.
Painted with Xtracolor enamel paints.
Decals by Xtradecal.
Washed with Artist oils.
Paint chipping done with a silver pencil.
