Hey all!

Finally I found some time to work on my 1:72 Boston bomber from Matchbox.
According to the rules of the Bombs Away! campaign the bombload must be visable. Therefor I had to saw out the bomb bay doors and scratch an bomb bay interior. I used some styreen sheet. The 4 bombs are from an old Science Treasury kit (Hasegawa clone of the Toyata startertruck). I shortened the tails of the bombs to give them the right look.

This is how far I came last night:

Hi Paul!

I agree with Steffen! More pictures!
I wanted to do a Boston myself (but in 1/48) but I now consider making something else since you do one!
Keep us informed about the progress! I like Matchbox kits...

Ooops!! :-)

Please don't do that Jean-Luc! There are so many nice variants of the plane, and some major differences between British and Americans (or even Russian) versions.
The major differences are in the front of the plane (closed or glass) and the mg turret on the top.

I'll post some more pictures soon in this thread.

Nice work Paul.
How does the kit go together. I built quite a few of the Matchbox kits when i was a kid (mainly the armor ones as you got a small dio with it ).
