Hi,
I am currently building a series of US WWII fighter planes (Corsairs F4U's and P-47 Thunderbolts).
I see a lot of these craft (also more modern planes have this obviously) have a dented surface structure from all the handling. I would like to try and incorporate this into the models as well (check the corsair photo's from a previous F4U thread and you see the dark glossy NAVY planes exhibiting this feature to the fullest).
I tried adding glue and then sanding the surface smooth (on a drop tank for test) but that's not really cutting it.
Are there any good approaches to this?
Thanks for any help.

Try using a number 10 blade and gently scrape the dents into the surfface.

Most impressive. I'll have to try thins on wood & fabric covered birds. Eduard's newest Fokker E.V has a spare wing that is cupped/ stressed like the article mentions. The original was plywood covered.

Hi Dennis,
I'm still very new here at Armorama. How do I mail command post? I'd be glad to get my hands on a copy of FSM with that article in it.
So can you give me a heads up on this Command Post thing?
Thanks,
Albert

Incredible!
As soon as I get finish my Stuka, I have a LA-7 that would be prime for this. Since this post was put on here in June has anyone tried it?
