Hi
Does anyone know which unit the Blackhawk helicopters from the film Black Hawk Down were from ?
Also, please could anyone advise on decal sets for this type.
Thanks
Dave

They are from the 160th SOAR "NIGHT STALKERS".
1st and 2nd Battalion are located at Ft. Cambell, Kentucky and the 3rd Battalion is at Hunter Army Airfield, Georgia.
I can't remeber who, but a while back someone did make the dark olive drab decals for the helicopters. Other than that, you are on your own for those. The decals that come with the Academt DAP kit are totally the wrong color.

Yes to what Pete said. As for the aftermarket decals, Cobra Company makes the Olive Drab Markings... Here

Thanks Pete and Joe, much appreciated for the info. Are the colours in the film correct for me to use as reference material?

Dave,
Here is a web sight you can start looking at:
NIGHTSTALKERS
All there birds are pretty much painted flat black with the dark olive drab lettering.
