Thanks for your vote’s guys and for following my request to keep the voting simple, it certainly helps me when toting up the results.
OK, here's how it went:

    betheyn(L-39C ) 5
    troya (PZL 11.C) 21
    brandydoguk (Spitfire MkIX) 2
    klimmer (B-25J) 2
    TedMamere (CR.32) 40
    shonen_red (Meteor) 3
    matrixone (FW 190A-9) 10
    modelguy2(Albatros) 7
    Merlin (Yak 1) 27
    archerwin (IL2 Sturmovik) 10
    csch (Typhoon) 5
    Holdfast (Sea Fury) 6
    JPTRR (Bf 109K) 1

The most number of 1st choice votes went to TedMamere (CR.32) with 9 (27points).
The most number of 2nd choice votes went to TedMamere (CR.32) with 6(12 points).
The most number of 3rd choice votes went to Merlin(Yak1) with 5 (5 points).

23 members cast their votes, the same as last month, but the turnout was 13, 2 more than last month but 6 away from the record of 19. No ladies again this time but we live in hope for the coming months, well done to everyone who entered.

Rest assured there were no bad models here so please don't be put off with entering again and remember you can enter a model up to 3 times. Well done all those that entered and thanks for the votes.

It was very close between 1st and 2nd for a time, but the eventual winner pulled away on the second page of voting. It was particularly nice to see an entry from Merlin, the odds are that he won't enter anything else for the rest of the year (he only enters new builds) certainley not his Halifax anyway.

The results, well done all:

1st TedMamere Fiat CR.32 40 points Winner of a Harricature of a CR.32

2nd Merlin Yak 1 27 points

3rd troya PZL 11.C 21 points

Outstanding! Congratulations to everyone for entering such a fine set of models, but I'm really pleased to see Jean-Luc's CR.32 end up the runaway winner - the transformation of the ancient SMER (ex-Artiplast) kit makes it really is one of the best builds I've ever seen!

I have a sneaky plan to give the rest of us a chance this month... either tie Jean-Luc's hands or hide his camera!

All the best

I'm assuming that not everyone read the notes with J-L's entry otherwise he would likely have got everyones 1st vote. Mind you there were plenty of other excellent models on display and I'm sure we'll see some again A worthy second place Rowan, even more impressive when up against the quality of this months entries, and Troya would have probably won on most of the previous MOM's
You shouldn't have to tie J-L's hands, or hide his camera, being recently married, he shouldn't have any time for modelling When are you planning on entering your Halifax? (had to get the new smilie in )

Hi all!

Rowan, you won't have to do something like that! I will leave for some vacations wednesday and will be away for the first half of the month. No MOM for me next month!

This could be true! But even worse, with a baby planned for November I guess the situation may be desperate! :-)

You are too kind! But if you look at the model more closely, you will notice the forward fuselage isn't accurate in shape (couldn't do better with the Smer kit), the external detail (relief ribs and panel lines) is probably nice to see but also not really like the real thing, the struts are a little too thick and don't have the typical Fiat fairings, the propeller are spare ones and not accurate neither (but better than the kit ones!), the rudder and the elevators are way too thick (I was to lazy to thin them down), the seat belts are Soviet ones (the only I could find in my spare box) etc...
You see, far from being a perfect model if you think accuracy is vital... but it's looks like a Fiat Cr.32 for me and I had fun building it and that's the most important at the end.
I hope you don't take away my points now Mal, because I really want to have the Harricature!!!

So thanks for all those who voted for me despite the shorcomings of the model! I will consider this to be my gift for thursday! July 6th is my Birtday! As I said to Rowan, I will probably make a visit to M.Meissonier, owner of Signifer, that day. It will be the occasion to see a short run and resin manufacturer in flesh and blood! I'm really looking forward to that! Some kind of Birthday gift too!

Ok, enough writing! Thanks to all who have participated, thanks to you Mal and thanks in advance Harri for the Harricature!

I know it's but thanks to Zidane, Henry and the French team for the semi-final as well

Regardless of any "shortcomings" in your CR.32 it really looks the part and it is particularly well painted and presented so the win is certainly well deserved
I also forgot, Jean-Luc, can you PM me your address so Harri can send your prize, on completion. He has been watching the vote and has been collecting reference material on CR.32's so it shouldn't take him to long.

Well done Jean-Luc

Your first place is well deserved for a super looking model. Like Mal has said, you can either PM him or myself with your address and I'll get the picture done and sent to you.

Once again, well done.

@Jean-Luc

No, I do not think so. To make such a great model from a pile of **** is outstanding work and the finish is superb! as is Rowans multi-layer camouflage/weathering

Good luck reaching the final and beyond... well, except when Germany manages to surpass the Italian bulwark in the semi-final ...

cheers and

Guys,

The voting is becoming harder and harder, but when I read J-L's Fiat was a SMER kit...that settled it!

Mal, thanks again.

Everyone, great models!

Looking forward to July.
