Hi,
I have an F-22 Raptor which I want to do in a desert colour scheme to suit Iraq theatre or similar. Could anyone suggest any USAF squadrons which would have the Raptor and possibly be deployed out there (I believe that there are no Raptors in theatre at this time - is this true?)
Also, could anyone suggest where I can get decals for US squadron markings?
Also what colours do the US use in desert theatre - is it like 'Desert Pink' which the RAF was using on their Tornados and Jaguars in Desert Storm?

Hi Dave
First let me say that I am no expert when it comes to suck'n'blow a/c.
I do not think the F-22 would receive a special camo, as the surface treatment involves some "stealth components". Furthermore I do not think that many of the other air superiority a/c (F-15 e.g) did/do get a desert camo...
just my 2 uneducated € ct
cheers

Thats an interesting point Steffen, I hadn't thought about that - there goes my idea of breaking up a shelf of grey areoplanes....
Maybe the F-15s did not get the desert camo because they didn't need it at 20,000 ft.... :-)
