Hi Tuomas!
Thanks! You choosed a french decoration!
From what I see, it looks like you are on the good way with the panel lines wash. But as you said, the pictures are a little dark so it's difficult to see the details. What did you use for the weathering? Paint or pastels?
The underside color appears to be a little too dark, but this could be the picture.
Tuomas, I've created a modelling club at my school this year and the students were the same age as you. All I can tell you is that none of them could have done such an excellent job with such a difficult kit (PE parts, masks, metal weight etc...)! Congratulations!
Jean-Luc

Hi Tuomas
I totally agree with Jean-Luc! For a first attempt at this sort of weathering (and on a complex kit) this is outstanding!
The cordite-staining under the wings looks rather over-done - did you spray this or do it with pastels? If it's the latter (and you haven't sealed the pastels with varnish) I'd brush a lot of the pigment off to leave just a little staining.
But please take my comments in the right way - that's a beautiful build of which you can be justifiably proud! I think we have a star-builder in the making - please keep us up to date with your projects!
All the best
Rowan

Hey Sarpis, nice bird. One question. I've got the same kit and had to sand and putty where the bottom of the lower piece of the wing joins the main fuselage. Did you have the same problem?

Jean-Luc, in washing i use paint and pastels to wheels etc. Yep, the underside color is a bit dark, thanks for Vallejo. :-) Is very nice that you maked a modelling club to school, i started modelling that way!
Rowan, i use pastels for it. It's a owerdone, but meaby pilot used he's guns well? :-) In next case i know more, thanks for help!
Ian, I don't had that problem... Only that what you can see at first picture.
Joe, yep, that is a Eduard's kit. It's very nice. But it's hard to chooce what plane you do. :-)
Now i have in my workbench Dragon's 1/35 KingTiger. After that meaby Finnish Messerschmitt...? I usually do tank-plane-tank-plane... Variation is refreshing!
Cheers!

Is Hasegawa making an Airacobra? I haven't heard of such a thing.
Nice looking model, Sarpis. I have Eduard's Cobra in my stash as well. I think I'm going to build it in the US markings as the "Devastating Devil".

Hi Eetu!
Yes they will. In 1/48 scale. It will be released first as a british P-400 I think (HSG09092). but it's a P-39 nonetheless.
