Surprise! Rowan is really going to be the most surprised. :-)
I got kind of a bug up my butt to go ahead and put up AeroScale with the basic framework we had on Armorama. It seemed like the aircraft content was a bit too sheltered unless people actually knew to go to the aircraft site. Some of you may still be going to that site so... change your URL bookmarks to
www.aeroscale.co.uk. Anyways I am happy to see the white and blue of AeroScale get filled up with reviews, features, news, and posts. This is just the start of course. We will be working to refine the site and deliver more aircraft modeling morsels to you all!
I will let Rowan take things from here once he has gotten the chance to let this sink in. Should I be ducking a shoe or something at this point I wonder?

Cheers,
Jim

I must admit to being a little surprised myself, i had the old aircraft homepage as my default setting and when i went online this morning it was a little empty looking :-) .
Thanks for getting it online Jim.
It may be basic at the moment, but its home

This is a great surprise. Although I'm armour mostly builder I take a look to aircrafts forum to see what's new, see some great planes and to vote for Model of the Month. When I clicked to one of recent topics blue banner appeared...
Congrats Jim, great work.

Aha!
What a pleasant surprise, Captain!
Looks great, so far!!! I'm sure that the wingnuts are going to love the new surroundings, and the site will more than likely flourish with leaps and bounds with you and Merlin in the cockpit....Good Luck!!!
Cheers!!

But then I remembered about AEROSCALE and......aaah there you are!
Looking great and I look forward to see the rest of it...

Surprise..... surprise.... surprise......
Looks good.....
Edited---- forgot to mention, Mr Mox and I discovered this surprise this morning, before we left on our hobbyshopping trip, and for those concerned, I believe Pvt Parts and myself did a good job of extending some down home Joisey fun, at my age, I'm allowed to pat myself on the back........ :-) :-)

Aeroscale preview sure looks good in its new surroundings. Thanks Jim!
Just a quick observation:
If I used the menu option at the top of the screen (Aeroscale, Armorama, Historicus Forma, Modelgeek & Model Shipwrights) I get to
https://aeroscale.kitmaker.net/ and have to Login again.
If I use ‘Latest Network Posts’, I end up at
http://aeroscale.kitmaker.net/ and am already/still logged in.

Eric,
When you are on the domain "www.aeroscale.co.uk" or just "aeroscale.co.uk" then the links should appear as you described.
If you are on the "aeroscale.kitmaker.net" domain and seeing the links like that then I think you have some "cookie confusion" going on with the way the code is currently written. That is why I recommended that people logout from the main site URLs (or trash all their cookies) before tyring the universal login feature.

It caught me just a little off guard when I ended up here instead of the usual place when I clicked my armorama link. Nice work everyone and it will be nice to have an aircraft dedicated site.

:-) :-)
II love Armour, ships, subs, etc... ... but this is nice just to have one major focus. This all ready feels like home

Aerocale base to Jackflash, please take up a holding pattern, awaiting arrival of Merlin who seems to be having trouble finding the base :-) .

Still no Rowan? Man he is playing some serious hookey.
Does anybody have any suggestions for the site? Eventually we will have a site forum for that stuff but for now feel free to post them here.
Cheers,
Jim

Hi Jim,
One suggestion is an "On Display" feature for the aircraft section. The same as on Armorama, where members display one pic of each of their favorite aircraft models.

Jim - Rowan told me he wouldn't be around until the weekend, as he's off working on a documentary.
Andy - get your photos together and submit them, I'm sure Rowan would agree AeroScale should follow suit with Vinnie's innovation on Armorama.
I'm sure the Features and Photo sections will be showing up on the Homepage soon (nudge, nudge, wink , wink -- Jim), exactly what they will be called ???? Rowan will be here soon.
JackFlash - check your six, you aren't alone. :-)
