Hi all.
Im building a MKIIB Hurricane for Fighters Under The Midnight Sun in Finnish markings and Ive got a couple of questions on colours.
Firstly, What would be the correct colour for the wheel wells? Ive seen Hurri's in both "interior" green and natural metal for this area.
Secondly,Im going to be spraying the main camoflage in black and green with yellow wingtips.
I know that when the Hurricanes arrived in Finland they were painted in the standard RAF dark earth/green scheme.Would they have been completely resprayed or would the black have been sprayed over the dark earth in the field?
Any help on this would be greatfully recieved.

This is rather off the top of my head, but I think Finnish Hurricanes were completely repainted - the schemes I've got as ready refs bear no resemblance to standard RAF patterns.

I thought that might have been the case.
I shall be attemping some Copydex weathering on this one I think after seeing how well yours has turned out.
I never was that good with the old silver pencil
