Hey all.
This is my Revell F-106 and it is primed and I will put the nose cone on and the speed brake tomorrow and paint it. (after I do a bit touch up's that I missed) Question though. Is Tamiya's Acrylic Sky Grey (XF-19) an appropriate color for this plane? Well enough talk here's some pics.
Here's my F-106 album for previous WIP's.

I also decided to close the missile bay b/c it just didn't look right.
Any comments good or bad and Q's are welcome.
Thanks for lookiing.

Thanks.
I'm going to do the kit decals. I'm going to do the more colorful ones with the yellow stripe.

Hi YG,
That's a fine looking Dart you are building there. How does the kit go together ?
As for the colour, in my opinion i think XF 19 will be a little on the light side. The actual colour used is FS 16473, ADC Grey. The closest match i can find is Humbrol No-146 Aircraft Grey, or Gunze Sanjo H61.
Here is a link to the colour. This is from the colour server on I.P.M.S Stockholm.

Thanks guys
Lampie: Those bags are actually for this model but I only needed to use 3. LOL Actually me and my Dad are doing some updating on my Mom's flower bed.
betheyn:It's a typical Revell Monogram kit. Not very good fit with the fuselage and wings. I think I'm going to use the Sky Grey. I didn't think it looked to light I thought it looked a little dark but On some other forums I got multiple opinions so I'm going to go ahead and use it. Thanks for that websit though. It'll be very useful.
Thanks again guys

Looking forward to seeing this finished YG. Keep posting the pics.
Is there a NMF colour scheme in the kit ?
If you ask enough people, you will usually find different and conflicting answers on colours, so the best bet is to go with what you happy with. The only person you need to please is yourself .

No, I can't even find a reference pic of an NMF so I guess I'll be putting the paint on tommorow since it just started raining today.

Ok I painted it today after it stopped raining b/c it was quite nice out. Anyway I painted it and that awful putty that I used to fill the gaps showed up even though I thought it was smooth. Any ideas how to make this go away?
