I'm trying ( unsuccessfully i might add :-) ) to build a 1/48 vac-form Kawasaki Ki-48 "Lily", but I'm really having problems trying to find good photos of this plane. I am mainly stuck with the underside, especially with the landing gear as i can't quite figure out how it all fits.
Does anyone know where i can find any photos. I have trawled the Internet, with not much luck, and the only book i can find dedicated to this plane seems to be out of print and nigh on impossible to find.

Sweet lil' Lily! My favorite of Imperial Japan's bombers. Do a good job with her. What scheme you gonna paint?

I'll try Fred.
The colour scheme will be overall light grey. haven't figured out the unit markings for China 1941/42.

Hi Andy

Here is a page that you may find helpful for markings. This is a first hand account from a Japanese pilot of the very first Japanese/AVG encounter on Dec 20, 1941.

...China 1941/42.

Hi Andy,

These rae not China Lilys, but here are two rare ones that actually operated in the Solomons; note one has a rare fuselage hinomaru: Solomon Lily

At this time most IJAAF bombers were still overall gray-green. I can try to look up specific Lily info in my copy of Thorpes camo & marking book, if you'd like.
