Greetings
Still on vacation, but when the family goes to bed, it’s late night gluingtime. I was quick too get hold of the big Fokker Dr1 when Roden release it, but it’s something about the Dr1. It seams that I can’t get them together. They still hang around my workbench. Now when Roden going too release there third bigi, I must get this one together
Engine painted in Alclad, sparkplugs and wire added.
A new enginecover was fixed with my homemade vacuumbox.
To spice the kit up i´ve use Parts etch. Hopefully it will go together this time
Cheers
Lars Q

Very nice work!
Is that aftermarket stuff or did it come with the kit? And how did you paint the wooden surfaces in the cockpit? They look very realistic.

Hi Emeritus
The plywood panels are made of plasticard 0,20,I give them a basecoat of humbrol 63 sand, after drying I used oilpaint, Burnt umber and light Ochre. After the oilpaint is dry a gloss varnish goes over.
Kit part in the office are rear bulkhead, floor, stick, frame ammoboxes and tank.
Etched part are only belts, floorpanels, compas instruments and control switch in the frame
The seat are made from a famous red and whte sodacan, seatpadding made in Milliput.
Wires are made of stretched sprues.
Cheers

Hey Lars it is a bit too late but the seat cushion on Dr.I types after early 1918 was the Heineke Parachute pack. Also the oil and fuel tank fillers were up front looks like the kit just has one filler. There should beone on each side.
