HH-53C SUPER JOLLY GREEN DIORAMA
I plan on making a diorama out of my CH-53 that is in 1/48 scale. I want to have it hovering over the jungle (held up by a clear plastic rod I suppose, or any other ideas that you have) with the winch on the ground. I was going to use orange painted cotten to represent smoke from the pilots smoke canister. It would be drifiting up throught the trees, and then away from the helo, because of the rotor wash. I get everything with the kit except the things I am asking help for
Q. Does anyone know where I can get decals of those small national insignia on the left/right side of the helo? It is in 1/48 scale.
Q. Does anyone know how to make a Jungle Penetrator in 1/48 scale?
Q. Anyone know how to scratchbuild a Minigun, the Cutting Edge weapon set only gives you 2, and a 50. cal. Or, did the Super Jollys Use a 50. Cal?
Thanks!

The answer to your 50 cal question is. Yes the Jolly Greens did use them. I was fortunate enought ot fly on them and have the opportunity to qualify with it as a doorgunner on it. (It was some of the best fun I have had with my clothes on :-) )
